I came to photography through my interest in the natural world and this pursuit has brought so many positive things to my life. Although I did not have my first experience in the backcountry until my early twenties, that initial backpacking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park inspired a deep interest in wilderness and conservation for me. Now, I pursue photography for a simple reason: the process of crafting a photo in the field helps deepen my connection to the natural places I have the good fortune to visit and explore.
